Independent Component 1
Here is the log of the days that I attended the Hospital. I briefly described my goals and accomplishments for each day that I went. I have done 56 hours towards my Independent Component 1. To view the log you have to click on month view and go all the way back to October of 2011 through December of 2011. I am also going to turn in my physical journal which goes more in depth of my Goals and Accomplishments.
LIA
Literal- I, Brittny Jansen affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.
I have completed a total of 56 hours of work. I have also completed a journal of my goals and accomplishments for each day. I have also achieved tasks such as CPR, EKG's, better communication skills as well as better patient care.
Interpretive
Its helpful to me in many ways because the goal of the journal was to set goals for myself and at the end of my shift see if I met my goals for that specific day. Its also training for me when I become an EMT, I will no the hospital side of an EMT job and be familiar to an Emergency Room setting.
Applied
My Independent Component 1 has helped me answer my EQ. My first answer is Patient advocacy, which I could have only gotten through experience and research.
