Independent Component 1 Plan Approval

(1) Write a description of what you plan on doing for your independent study component.
For my I.C I am going to Volunteer at San Dimas Hospital in the Emergency Room.
(2) Describe in detail how you think your plan will meet the 30 hours work requirement.
Well Volunteering at the hospital can easily generate 30 or more hours, because i go there every Monday and Friday for about 4 to 6 hours each time.
(3) How does your independent study component relate to your EQ?
My I.C relates to my EQ almost perfectly because with EMT's they have to transport the patients to the ER's in which at the hospital i see what they do within the hospital. There are also EMT's that work in the ER and are not part of an ambulance personnel. So i see both sides, which is a plus.

And the evidence of the 30 hours of work, I will in a sense write a journal entry to what i did that they, how i thought i  did, what i did well ect.

  1. This sounds good. Will it be your service learning, too? Lots of people who do hospital work use it for SL and both independent components. That would mean 100 hours total. In addition to what you said, we'd also want a contact number and signature.

  2. Sorry...120 hours...60 service learning and 30 hours for each independent component. Make sure to document your days with a journal and some pics and video.
