1. What have you learned how to do since you started working on your senior project?
Well, I have actually learned how to do a lot of things since I started volunteering at San Dimas Hospital. One of the things that I've learned how to do pretty well and on my own is an EKG which is an Electrocardiograph. And what an EKG does is it tests and checks for any problems with the electrical activity of the heart. That can be in the form of chest pain, heart attack, heart disease ect. Its translated by the spikes and dips that are one the piece of paper.
2. Post evidence of this accomplishment. It can be in the form of a picture, video document, etc...
My proof of evidence is an EKG that I did on my own. That's why as the technician I had to put my name on it so it shows the doctor and others who preformed this on the patient. Since I have to have proof of what I learned we put the patients name as Jane Doe, since there is confidentiality of patient information, which includes there name.
3.What research helped you to do this and how?
My Interviewee helped me learn how to do this, and also the other EMT's that work there. Jack, Richard and Matt are the ones that specifically helped learn where the leads go on the patient and the anatomical position. But also good communication with the patient, having them relax while the test is going on and making sure that there comfortable.
